Big Bang Ultra Thin 0.5 mm Puck Screen & Magnet Pin

A precision 0.5 mm puck screen designed to improve water distribution across the coffee bed while helping keep the shower screen and grouphead cleaner.

The IMS Big Bang pattern uses wider hole spacing toward the edges for more even water distribution across the puck.

At only 0.5 mm thick, the screen adds minimal height above the coffee bed and is easy to rinse after use. The included magnetic pin makes it simple to lift the hot screen from the basket and provides a convenient way to store it on a suitable magnetic surface.

Available in 51 mm, 54 mm and 58 mm sizes for a wide range of home and professional espresso machines.

Dose & Headspace

A puck screen occupies some of the space between the coffee puck and shower screen. If your basket is already filled close to its maximum capacity, reduce your usual dose by approximately 0.5–1 g if needed.

The correct dose depends on the basket, coffee and grind. The portafilter should lock into the grouphead normally without the puck screen being pressed firmly against the shower screen.
