Precision IMS shower screen developed in collaboration with Verybarista for compatible DeLonghi espresso machines. The refined perforation layout distributes water more evenly across the coffee puck, helps improve extraction consistency and shot repeatability - especially when using precision baskets and fine grind settings.

Description

The IMS Precision Shower Screen DL200IM for DeLonghi espresso machines (see compatibility list) is a performance upgrade developed in collaboration with Verybarista and manufactured by IMS in Italy.

This custom version introduces a refined perforation layout designed to improve water distribution across the coffee puck. It distributes water more evenly across the coffee puck, reduces localized flow concentration and helps maintain stable extraction. This effect is especially noticeable when using precision baskets, single-dose baskets, or fine grind settings.

The result - more stable extractions, improved shot repeatability, and cleaner espresso, without requiring any major changes to your workflow or your machine.

Compatibility

Compatible with DeLonghi Dedica, Icona, Distinta, Scultura, La Specialista Maestro.

Instructions & Care

Installation

  • Remove existing shower screen and screw
  • Clean the group head contact surface
  • Install DL200IM with a screw
  • Tighten to secure fit without overtightening

Maintenance

  • Regular backflushing recommended
  • Remove and clean periodically to maintain optimal flow
  • Compatible with standard espresso machine detergents
  • Do NOT wash in a dishwasher
  • Do NOT soak in harsh chemicals
