Description

Diffuser Plate Design
A precision hole pattern distributes incoming water across the puck surface before it enters the coffee bed.

NOTE: The included removal pin contains a magnet, allowing the screen to be lifted easily from the puck after brewing without touching hot metal. Stainless steel has different magnetism levels. Food Safe steel (SAE 304) products usually have lower magnetism levels. Thus, magnetic pin might work slightly different with other pucks or surfaces. The shape of the magnet might differ from pictured here.

Instructions & Care

How to Use

Prepare and tamp your coffee as usual.
Place the diffuser screen on top of the tamped puck with the logo side down.
Lock the portafilter into the group head and brew normally.
After brewing, remove the screen using the magnetic pin.

Care

Rinse the screen with warm water after use.
Occasionally soak in espresso cleaner to remove coffee oils.
Never wash in a dishwasher
Never soak in harsh chemicals or use abrasive tools to clean it.

Does this improve espresso extraction?

It helps stabilize how water enters the puck, which can improve extraction consistency.

Is it better than mesh puck screens?

This diffuser design actively controls water flow, rather than only protecting the shower screen.

Will it affect dose?

Because the screen occupies space above the puck, you may need to reduce your dose by 0.5–1 g if headspace becomes tight.

Do I still need to clean my machine?

Yes. The screen reduces buildup but does not replace regular backflushing and cleaning.
