Er ist für Singl-Espressodosen von 8-13 g ausgelegt. Der Korb verfügt über einen schmalen Boden, der den Wasserfluss zur Mitte des Pucks leitet. Diese Geometrie erhöht die Extraktion, verbessert die Crema-Bildung und unterstützt die effiziente Trocknung des Pucks und den sauberen Auswurf.

Das sorgfältig kalibrierte Lochmuster eignet sich für alle Röstungen, von hell bis dunkel, hebt fruchtige Noten hervor und erhöht den Körper und die Crema in der Tasse. Anleitung & Pflege

Before first use: Rinse thoroughly with warm water or run a blank shot through your machine with the basket in place to remove any manufacturing residue.

Daily cleaning: After each use, knock out the puck and rinse the basket under hot water to remove coffee oils and residue.

Monthly maintenance: Soak in a solution of espresso machine cleaner and hot water for 15–30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly before reuse.

Avoid abrasive tools: Use a soft brush or cloth to clean. Do not use steel wool or harsh scouring pads as they may damage the surface.

Storage: Keep the basket dry and store it in a clean environment when not in use.

Brewing Tips:

Grind Size: Use a fine grind, slightly finer than for a standard double basket. Consistency is key - use a burr grinder.
Dose: 8-13 g of freshly ground coffee, adjusted to your taste.
Tamping: Apply even, level pressure with a 51-51.3 mm tamper.
Extraction Time: Aim for 25-35 seconds for ~25-30 ml of espresso.
Taste Profile: Expect enhanced sweetness, fuller body, and thicker crema. Light roasts reveal fruity and floral notes; darker roasts emphasize chocolate and nuts.

Very high quality basket. I use it in a bottomless portafilter but, as advertised, it will fit into the pressurized portafilter that comes with the DeLonghi Dedica. You’ll have to use quite a bit of strength before it pops in but it works.

Excellent choice using it in a bottomless portafilter - that’s where the precision geometry truly shines. Wishing you many clean, balanced extractions ahead.

Is this IMS basket compatible with 51 mm tampers?

IMS baskets are compatible with DeLonghi original and most custom tampers. Some tamper manufacturers make “precision” tampers with a very tight fit. Unfortunately, they do not leave any space for air and even small particles of coffee can make tamper to get stuck in the basket.

Why was my IMS basket packaging open?

IMS packs baskets in a small cardboard sleeves that may sometimes shift or loosen in transit. This does not mean the product is used or fake. Every basket we sell is new, unused, and shipped exactly as we receive it from IMS.

Could I have received a “fake” IMS basket?

No. All our IMS baskets come directly from IMS in Italy, in their official packaging.
