Verybarista 54 mm Bottomless Portafilter with IMS Convex Filter Basket

Fits Breville/Sage 54 mm models:
Barista Express (BES870), Barista Pro (BES878), Barista Touch (BES880), Bambino Plus (BES500), Infuser (BES840).

❌ Not compatible with Breville Dual Boiler, Oracle, Oracle Touch, or 58 mm models.

• Do not unscrew or remove the portafilter head from the handle. The threaded connection is not designed to be disassembled for cleaning or regular maintenance.
• After use, remove the filter basket and rinse the stainless-steel portafilter head under warm water as needed, keeping the leather handle as dry as possible.
• Clean the leather handle with a soft, slightly damp cloth only. Never soak or submerge the handle in water.
• Do not wash the portafilter in a dishwasher.
• If the handle becomes loose: This can occasionally happen with threaded portafilter handles. Tighten the head securely. If it continues to loosen, apply a small amount of medium-strength threadlocker (such as Loctite Blue 243) to the thread and tighten securely. Allow it to cure according to the threadlocker's instructions before using the portafilter again.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to water, direct sunlight, and excessive heat.
• Natural leather will develop a patina and may change slightly with use. This is a normal characteristic of genuine leather.

IMS filter basket:

• Before first use: Rinse thoroughly with warm water or run a blank shot through your machine with the basket in place to remove any manufacturing residue.
• Daily cleaning: After each use, knock out the puck and rinse the basket under hot water to remove coffee oils and residue.
• Monthly maintenance: Soak in a solution of espresso machine cleaner and hot water for 15–30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly before reuse.
• Avoid abrasive tools: Use a soft brush or cloth to clean. Do not use steel wool or harsh scouring pads as they may damage the surface.
• Storage: Keep the basket dry and store it in a clean environment when not in use.
