⚠️ Safety Note: Always read and follow your espresso machine’s cleaning instructions before using the blind disk. Improper use may cause damage.

Place the Verybarista Blind Disk into your 54mm portafilter. Add a cleaning tablet - such as Cafetto Tevo Mini or a measured dose of cleaning powder, then lock the portafilter into the group head and run the machine’s backflush cycle according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.

For best results:

Backflush with water after every espresso session.
Perform a detergent backflush every 1–2 weeks for home use, or daily in commercial settings.
After use, rinse the disk thoroughly under warm water to remove detergent residue.
Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight.

How often should I backflush my espresso machine?

For home use, we recommend backflushing with water after each session and with detergent tablets every 1–2 weeks. For commercial settings, daily detergent backflushing is best.

Should I use it with cleaning tablets or powder?

The disk works with both cleaning tablets and powder. For best results, we recommend Cafetto Tevo Mini tablets, as they dissolve at the right pace and are securely held in place by the embossed logo. Cleaning powder can also be used—simply measure the correct dose into the disk before starting the backflush cycle.

Why choose a silicone blind disk over rubber?

Silicone is denser, more durable, and more resistant to wear than rubber. It creates a stronger seal, lasts longer, and doesn’t crack or deform under heat and pressure.

What is a backflush cleaning blind disk?

A blind disk is used to seal the portafilter during cleaning. It allows detergent and water to circulate through the machine’s group head and valves, removing coffee oils and buildup.
