Instructions & Care

Before first use: Rinse thoroughly with warm water or run a blank shot through your machine with the basket in place to remove any manufacturing residue.

Daily cleaning: After each use, knock out the puck and rinse the basket under hot water to remove coffee oils and residue.

Monthly maintenance: Soak in a solution of espresso machine cleaner and hot water for 15–30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly before reuse.

Avoid abrasive tools: Use a soft brush or cloth to clean. Do not use steel wool or harsh scouring pads as they may damage the surface.

Storage: Keep the basket dry and store it in a clean environment when not in use.

First of all, I don’t want to trash reviewing this basket because it appears to be a high quality product. But, it doesn’t appear to work in a Breville Oracle Jet, and maybe not in other auto tamping machines. Maybe the convex design prevents the Jet from doing a proper job distributing and tamping. That’s what happened when I used it in this machine. The puck came out a mess and it did iteverytime I tried it. So, that was a wasted purchase. I also bought a 54mm convex basket for my Bambino Plus. It worked but the pick was very hard to knock out. The amount of effort needed also caused the basket to come out with the puck still intact and I had to dig it out. Nope, that doesn’t work. With my regular basket, VB nanotech coated, the puck almost slides out without a knock. So, it was a failed experiment.
