La Marzocco OEM Shower Screen with Gasket

Compatible with all La Marzocco, Slayer, and Synesso models.

Instructions

1. Turn off and cool the machine
   Make sure the espresso machine is switched off and the group head has cooled down before performing maintenance.
2. Remove the existing shower screen
   Use a flat screwdriver or the appropriate tool to unscrew the center screw holding the shower screen. Carefully remove the screw and the shower screen.
3. Remove the old group head gasket
   Using a gasket removal tool or a flat tool, gently pry the old gasket out of the group head. Take care not to scratch the group head surface.
4. IMPORTANT: Clean the group head area
   Before installing the new parts, thoroughly clean the inside of the group head to remove coffee oils, residue, and old gasket debris.
5. Install the new silicone gasket
   Insert the new silicone gasket into the group head with the flat side facing down. Press it evenly into place until fully seated.
6. Install the new shower screen
   Place the reinforced La Marzocco shower screen into position and secure it with the screw. Tighten the screw firmly but do not overtighten.
7. Lock in the portafilter
   Insert the portafilter and lock it in place to help properly seat the gasket.

Care & Maintenance

• Replace the shower screen and gasket every 6–12 months, depending on machine usage.
• Clean the shower screen regularly by soaking it in espresso machine cleaning solution to remove coffee oils and buildup. Never soak in harsh chemicals.
• Do NOT wash in a dishwasher.
• Perform regular backflushing with a blind filter and espresso machine cleaner to maintain optimal performance.
• Avoid using sharp tools that could scratch or damage the group head during maintenance.
• Inspect the gasket periodically for signs of wear, hardening, or leaks around the portafilter. Color change is ok.

Proper maintenance ensures consistent water distribution, stable brewing pressure, and better espresso extraction.
